The Childcare Academy is open 51 weeks a year. We close for Bank holidays and for a week at Christmas.

We are open from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. Our curriculum covers the seven areas of learning: communication and language; personal, social and emotional development; physical development; mathematics; understanding of the world; expressive arts and design.

We provide role-play, arts and crafts, sand and water, messy play, circle time for stories, singing and dancing, and much more! We have an outdoor play area for all physical activities.

Yes, we use the FAMLY app, a popular platform many nurseries use to collaborate with parents. You will receive photos and updates on your child daily via this app.

The FAMLY app is where parents follow their child’s learning journey and where they can become involved in their child’s development stages and home learning activities.

Our fees include nappy creams, water wipes, and all meals and drinks provided throughout the day (breakfast, morning fruit snacks, lunch, tea and afternoon snack).

If a child becomes poorly, we always contact the parents to discuss the next steps eg the administration of Calpol or collection of the child. We have a sickness policy accessible to all parents. Similarly, if your child has an accident at the nursery, we will follow our standard accident policy and inform you immediately.

We have a four-weekly menu shared via our FAMLY app every week. All our foods are planned and prepared in our nursery kitchen to meet every child’s dietary requirements, including meals suitable for vegan, vegetarian and Halal diets. Of course, all our dishes are carefully planned and prepared to be nutritious and very tasty!

The safety of the children is our top priority. So we have strict procedures about nursery access. We use a password procedure to ensure anyone who collects a child has permission from a parent.
